The story so far
Puff's crest — the cotton-top's white crown — puffs to twice its size with every startle, and Puff startles constantly: at echoes, at shadows, at the sheer excitement of being awake. Then he laughs — a bright chattering — and startles at the laugh.
Happening now
Echo — who repeats everything an octave up — is Puff's best friend and worst influence. Their conversations are feedback loops of startle and echo. The Tiny Ones find this endlessly entertaining.
