The story so far
A lion in a dog suit with a blue-black tongue and strong views on personal space. Dumpling's ancestors guarded imperial palaces; Dumpling guards the good armchair with the same intensity. Same energy. Smaller palace. The tongue remains a conversation piece.
Happening now
The good armchair has been reupholstered, and Dumpling supervised the entire process from the bad armchair, radiating disapproval at every fabric choice. The new fabric is acceptable. Barely. She has claimed it by sitting on it first, which is the law.
What may come
Dumpling will guard the armchair until the armchair is dust, and then she'll guard the spot where the armchair was. Palaces fall. The guarding continues. The tongue stays blue-black forever.
