The story so far
Uncle Wind: the old gentleman of the weather office who opens his bag and lets the winds out, one careful gust at a time. Sailors know his moods better than their own captains'. He has been doing this since the songs of Chu sang about him, and he still checks the sky before every shift.
Happening now
He is loosening the bag's drawstring right now, letting out a mild spring breeze over the eastern fields. A typhoon is scheduled for next week. He is already dreading it.
What may come
One day he will open the bag all the way — every wind at once, the whole weather of the world in a single breath — and then close it forever, and retire to the one calm valley the winds never found. The bag is old. The valley is waiting. He checks the sky.
