The story so far
The Great Flood, the celestial cow who rose from the creation waters and gave birth to Ra, the sun disk balanced between her horns. The sky is her body. The river is her name. When Ra grew weary of ruling, Nun turned Nut into a cow to carry him away — and the cow was always Mehet-Weret, underneath.
Happening now
She rose from the waters once. Some say she never came back down, and that the sky has been her body ever since.

Every inundation is her returning. The river turns the color of life, and the priests say: she is nursing the world again.
