The story so far
The primeval waters, he-frog and she-serpent, the dark abyss that was before everything and still surrounds everything. Atum rose out of them; the world is an island in them; and the island leaks. They did not make the world so much as get out of its way, reluctantly, in pairs.
Happening now
They surround everything still — above the sky, beneath the Duat, beyond the desert's edge. Every drowned thing returns to them. They accept it without comment.

When the world ends, the waters take it back. They are patient. They have been patient since before patience had a name.
