The story so far
Hephaestus was thrown from Olympus — the songs argue whether Hera or Zeus did it — fell for a day, and landed hard enough to lame him forever. He built his forge in a volcano and made everything the gods brag about.

He still takes commissions from all four factions, no questions asked. His waiting list is three centuries long, and he is worth it.
