The story so far
TRAPPIST-1d is the innermost Earth-sized member of its system's famous seven, perched on the inner edge of the habitable zone. In a family of celebrities, she is the overlooked middle spark — so she runs. Speed is the one argument no elder can win.

She has started running further than the Court's borders — out past the old markers, into the dark, and back breathless. When asked what she is chasing, Emberkin only says the dark feels warmer than it should.
