The story so far
Vesta is the brightest asteroid in Earth's sky and the only one sometimes visible to the naked eye. She is a basaltic protoplanet, a world that almost grew up, and she wears her volcanic past like polished armor.
Happening now
She has been gleaming brighter than usual this season, and the Courts of Stone are using her as their lighthouse. She pretends not to notice the attention, but secretly she polishes her basalt twice a day.
What may come
Dawn revealed a giant crater at her south pole, the scar of an ancient impact she is thinking of renaming her medal of survival. The Wanderers want to hold a joust in her honor, and she is considering it.
