Bramble's burrow entrance is the meadow's smallest art gallery and its most aggressive: thorns arranged by menace, burrs by prickle-density, one perfect rose thorn under a dewdrop spotlight. He doesn't eat any of it. 'You don't eat the painting either,' he says, which ends the argument the way it always does.
