The story so far
The tea-dark rivers of the Veil make eyes useless, so the Green invented other ways to see — and Poraquê is the oldest of them. Eight hundred and sixty volts, discharged from organs running the body's length: the strongest shock of any living animal, held in perfect reserve. They lead the electric guild's side of the Veil's cold war with the venom guild — fought entirely in etiquette, never in strikes. Glasswave is their quiet protégé; Highvolt is what they become when the years accumulate. Ocellus, across the dark, is the rival they have never once raised a volt against, which is the whole point.
