The story so far
Frost's family came down from the high cold forests generations back, and Frost — perversely, proudly — lives highest of all the Leaf-Eaters, where the mist never lifts and the air bites.
Happening now
Her sneeze — small, dignified, echoing — is the troop's high-altitude weather vane. Three sneezes before noon: cold snap coming. The troop dresses accordingly (they fluff).
What may come
She is teaching the young ones to love the cold. They do not. She persists, blue-faced and serene, sneezing wisdom.
