The living story
The story so far
Yuki's washing began — the stories say — with one sandy potato and one fussy infant, herself. The habit spread like all good habits do: by example, and by Yuki's extremely firm example.
Happening now
She has expanded to the hot springs at the troop's edge. The evening soak is now the troop's great social hour, and Yuki — scrubbing someone's shoulders — is its host.
What may come
The infants she taught are teaching infants. The washing will outlive her. She finds this deeply satisfying and says so, often, while scrubbing.
