The story so far
Captain learned the family's routine in a single day and had improved it by Friday. She moves forty sheep with a stare and runs the county's smartest farm like a shift supervisor — which she is, unofficially, and everyone knows it. Her opinions about your posture are strong, specific, and usually correct.
Happening now
She has started organizing the other dogs. The hearth dogs now eat in an order Captain designed, the workers take breaks on a schedule Captain approved, and nobody remembers voting for this. Nobody needed to. The stare is the vote.
What may come
Captain's five-year plan reportedly includes the sheep, the farm, and — eventually — the county. She's pacing herself. Rome wasn't organized in a day, but it would have been faster with a border collie.
