The story so far
Coco's ancestors retrieved ducks for kings and performed in circuses; Coco performs for whoever has the treats, which is everyone, which makes her the most employed dog in the neighborhood. She learned 'spin' in an afternoon and has been spinning ever since — through doorways, around trees, once through a sprinkler, triumphantly.
Happening now
She holds a standing gig entertaining the kids at the bus stop every morning. Payment is in goldfish crackers. She has never missed a show.
What may come
The park talent show is next month. Coco has added 'playing dead with dramatic flair' to the act. The flair is new. The flair is working.
