The Bridge of Helplessness over the River of Forgetfulness: the last crossing every soul makes, with Meng Po's tea stand at one end and rebirth at the other. The good cross on the gold bridge, the middling on the silver, the wicked on the narrow plank over the rapids. Everyone crosses. The bridge has never once been empty.
