Giltprowl was born where the Purring Dark's storm-meadows meet the Kindled practice yards, to Regret the Pronghorn's Bane, who taught her that a hunt is decided before the first step, and to Moltblade, who taught her that an unfinished shell is not a flaw but a promise. She grew up spotted and scale-plated, too fast for the mantis court and too patient for the feline prides, until she stopped choosing between them.

Now Giltprowl trains at dawn in both her parents' yards on the same morning — a full cheetah lope around the storm-meadow, then a motionless mantis guard in the practice court — and duelists from both worlds have started arriving early just to watch the moment speed turns into stillness.
What may come
What may come is a bout she has quietly been preparing for: a challenger who believes her golden half-shell makes her unfinished, and a single strike, struck after a full minute of perfect stillness, that may settle what 'finished' really means.
