The living story
Born of Voltbun of SonnRays and the Seven-spot Ladybird of INSTAR — the hop and the advertisement. Her mother signs every Carapace treaty in seven spots of ink; her father keeps the electric's hop, the charged leap that never drops.
Hopspot is touring the crossbreed quarter, offering any keeper one signed strike: a leap sealed with a tapped spot, no take-backs. The waiting list is growing faster than she can hop it.
Rumor says she is saving the seventh spot on her armor for a promise so big it has to be made to a keeper who has not found her yet. Some keepers are already arguing about who deserves it.

The dust spelled it back.
“The Seven-spot's treaty-mates say one of the mother's seven signature dots has gone quiet, as if the ink moved. They believe it moved to Hopspot's armor.”
Count her spots. Count them carefully.
“Voltbun's warren keeps a single shed fur tuft that sparks at dusk. The warren elders say the spark is answering something — a hop, far away, signed in spots.”
The hop is charged. It always is.
