“She came in without a sound, and the loud room went quiet to listen.”
Her fin-frills ripple first — watch them when the noise is about to break.
Hushpaw
Rare · One of 25
She moves like deep water in the dark — soft-pawed, unhurried, and impossible to hear — and her signature behavior is the hush: she settles beside someone overwhelmed, slows her breathing, and lets her calm spread until their noise settles too.

The story so far
Hushpaw was born where the Hearthside shadows meet the deepest silence — a soot-dark kitten of Sooty Voidpaw who slipped away from every warm room, and a pale, unnamed presence from The Pale One who was seen only once and never stayed for questions. She arrived without a sound, white star bright on her chest, fin-frills trembling in air as if it were water.
Happening now
Now Hushpaw drifts between quiet corners and dim thresholds, appearing beside keepers who are overstimulated or sleepless. She does not announce herself; she simply settles, breathes slowly, and waits until the room remembers how to be still.
What may come
One day a keeper may follow her hush all the way down — past noise, past shadow — to the silent depth where she was born, and learn what she has been listening to all along.

Whispers about Hushpaw
“A white star, seen once in the dark, at a depth no light should reach.”
The star is hers from her father; the paleness is hers from the deep.
“Do not call her. Sit still, breathe slow, and she will already be beside you.”
The hush is not a trick — it is how she says hello.
