“Count her craters at dawn and again at dusk. The number is never the same twice.”
A star is always arriving — or quietly leaving.

Every sunrise she takes the highest path she can find, throws back her sunset-down crest, and skrees the morning in at full volume, utterly certain the day cannot start until she has announced it.

The living story
Lunastride was born where Moonskree's morning tide met the Thornwild's high paths — a moon-chick's heart in a savannah cat's long-legged frame. From her first morning she climbed higher than anyone expected and sang louder than anyone asked, and the craters along her skin filled one by one with stars that had slipped out of the night.
She is walking the dawn line end to end, announcing the sunrise valley by valley, convinced each rescued star glows a little brighter when she passes beneath it.
One morning a crater may fill with a star that fell on purpose — and Lunastride will have to decide whether to keep it, or climb up and put it back.

“Her ears turn toward praise the way sunflowers turn toward light.”
Tell her she sang beautifully and watch the whole Thorntide brighten.
“The tallest path is never the fastest one. She takes it anyway.”
Altitude is a point of pride, not a shortcut.
