The story so far
His brother Seth drowned him in a coffin built to his measure and scattered the pieces; Isis and Nephthys gathered them, and Isis beat breath back into him with a kite's wings. Horus was conceived in that brief return. Osiris could have reclaimed the throne; he chose to rule the dead instead.
