The story so far
Dunkleosteus terrelli ruled the Devonian seas with a bite that could shear a shark in half — no teeth, just self-sharpening bony blades that scissored shut with the force of a hydraulic press. Shear has the scars to prove the résumé. In the Undertow she commands the Iron Tide's honor guard and enforces the old code: a debt of teeth is paid in teeth (metaphorically, per house rule three). The young placoderms drill under her eye. She has never raised her voice. She has never needed to.
