The story so far
She was a riot-shield officer, and then she became the shield. Bulwark expands her mass into living barricades — ten feet tall, twenty wide, utterly unmoved. She has walled off floods, fires, and one spectacularly bad parade float. Behind her, the city breathes easy.
Happening now
The equinox tides are coming and the Drowned Quarter is sandbagging, and Bulwark is walking the worst street, growing her wall ahead of the water — a living breakwater of stone and will. The kids are chalking her name on the barricade. She pretends the chalk tickles. It does.
What may come
Marko has agreed to teach her his stance, on the condition she stays polite about it, and Bulwark is taking the lessons very seriously — standing in the training yard for hours, being immovable and courteous. The yard is impressed. The yard is also a little scared.
