The story so far
It is a living fossil with the hunting style to prove it: the Frilled Shark lunges like a snake and holds its prey with three hundred needle teeth in twenty-five rows. It has not needed to evolve in eighty million years. The Midnight respects seniority, and the Frilled Shark is the senior.
