The story so far
She learned the wind the way sailors do — by respecting it, ferry by ferry, crossing by crossing. When the Ringing came she was on the night deck, and the harbor wind simply recognized her. Galeforce rides gusts like currents now, lifting stranded boats and grounding runaway drones, and she talks to storms like coworkers because to her, they are.
Happening now
A container ship dragged anchor off the outer bar in this morning's blow, and Galeforce rode the headwind down to it, talked the gust into laying off just long enough for the Tidecallers to get lines aboard. She claims the storm answered her back. Given the timing, nobody's arguing.
What may come
The Stormborn want her to apprentice with Eyewall — to learn the hurricane's ring from the inside. Galeforce says the wind has to ask her first. The wind, presumably, is considering it.
