The story so far
Before the Ringing she was the fastest bike messenger on the east side; after it, she simply kept going upward. Jetwash outruns the elevated train on her morning route and leaves silver-blue contrails on the sharp turns, and the transit authority has quietly started timing its clocks by her. She has never once been on time for a team meeting.
Happening now
There's a courier race across the sky-lanes at noon — Flywheel challenged her to a sprint from the Drowned Quarter to North Tower, and half the city has called in to watch. Jetwash has been warming up since dawn, which for her means three laps around the harbor at speed. The contrails are visible from the ferries.
What may come
Stratos keeps telling her there's a speed no one has found yet — the one that bends the light itself. Jetwash grins every time she hears it, which means she is absolutely going to try it, probably near something important, probably this week.
