The story so far
She was a park ranger, and the mountain lends to her — the older the stone, the deeper the power. Mountainheart has lifted a collapsed overpass and replanted a forest in the same week. The mountain approves. She channels the strength of the earth itself, and the earth has never once asked for it back.
Happening now
The quarry replanting is in its third season and Mountainheart is up there with the saplings, pressing her hands to the old cut stone and coaxing green out of grey. The forest is coming back faster than the botanists can explain. She just smiles. The mountain approves.
