The living story
The story so far
Born to Pasiphae and the Cretan Bull, named Asterion, locked in Daedalus's labyrinth by his stepfather Minos. Athens sent seven youths and seven maidens yearly until Theseus came with a thread and a sword.
Happening now
The labyrinth stands empty on Crete, and guides tell tourists the story wrong. Theseus visits once a year, alone. Nobody knows what he says in the dark.
What may come
His name meant 'starry one.' The songs gave him a monster's title; the stars kept his real name.
