The story so far
Evolution gave the Jewel Squid two different eyes for two different worlds: a big one aimed at the last light above, a small one aimed at the dark below. It is the only animal in the Twilight that never has to look away from anything.
Happening now
It jets through the Bristlemouth schools with its jeweled photophores flashing, both eyes working. The Twilight's young stare at the mismatched gaze and decide, unanimously, that it is the coolest thing alive.
What may come
