The story so far
Two bloodlines, one body: the anglerfish's bacteria-lit lure braided with the vampire squid's invertible cloak. Lurecloak carries the Midnight's brightest lamp on the Twilight's strangest defense — a living light that, when threatened, turns itself inside out and becomes armor.
Happening now
It drifts the boundary between zones, lure lit, cloak ready. The Black Seadevil regards it with a queen's complicated pride; the Vampire Squid watches it turn with a monk's quiet approval. The braid belongs to both zones and neither.
What may come
Braids are new — the dark has never seen bloodlines crossed like this. Lurecloak's young will inherit both the lamp and the turn. The Treaty of the Lure has no clause for a light that becomes armor; the lawyers are nervous.
