The living story
The story so far
Aeneas, son of Aphrodite, fought for Troy, was saved by his mother from Diomedes, and fled the burning city carrying Anchises and leading his son. After the wanderings Virgil sang, he reached Italy — and Rome claims him as ancestor.
Happening now
His line became Rome; his story became the Aeneid. The Trojans lost the war and won history — a trade only a goddess's son could make.
