The living story
The story so far
Bellerophon tamed Pegasus with Athena's golden bridle, slew the Chimera from the air, and defeated the Amazons — then flew toward Olympus, and Zeus sent a gadfly to sting the horse. The fall crippled him.
Happening now
He wanders the Aleian plain, lame and alone, avoiding gods and men. Pegasus grazes nearby, waiting for a rider who will never mount again.
What may come
Pegasus became a constellation. On clear nights Bellerophon looks up at his old horse among the stars and almost smiles.
