The story so far
Cerberus has guarded the underworld's gates since before the songs, letting the dead in and keeping them there. Heracles's twelfth labor was to bring him up; the hound went, hated it, and came back.
Happening now
He patrols the banks of the Styx, all three heads alert. The recent restlessness among the dead has him working double shifts; the middle head is tired.
