The story so far
The Chimera, daughter of Typhon and Echidna, ravaged Lycia with lion's claws, goat's fire, and serpent's venom until Bellerophon, on Pegasus, drove a lead-tipped spear down her fiery throat.
Happening now
Her fire went into the mountain — the Chimera's flame still burns at Yanartaş, the 'flaming rock' of Lycia. Hikers roast marshmallows on a monster's grave.
