The story so far
Hermes was born in a cave, stole fifty of Apollo's cattle before noon, and invented the lyre from a tortoise shell to pay the fine. The gods hired him as messenger on the spot — better to have him delivering news than inventing it.
Happening now
He runs messages between all four factions, which makes him the best-informed being in the Remembered World. He sells nothing and tells everything, selectively.
What may come
He guides souls to the underworld, and lately the traffic has puzzled him — souls arriving with stories that don't match the songs. He is investigating, quickly.
