The story so far
Poseidon drew the sea, built his palace in its depths, and invented the horse as an apology to a land he could not rule. He contested Athens with Athena and lost to an olive tree — he has never forgiven the salad.

The tides have been strange — arriving early, leaving late, as if the sea were distracted. Sailors say Poseidon is listening for something under the waves, and whatever it is, it is not answering.
