The story so far
Before him, the galaxy was theoretical; after him, it was crowded. He won the glory of being first, and he spends it freely. Every hot Jupiter in the Court owes him royalties of respect, and he collects.
Happening now
He has taken to giving tours of his own legend to the younger exoplanets, who are politely bored. The 4.2-day years blur together now, each orbit a little victory lap. Lately he has been asking the old king's questions: what comes after being first?
What may come
