The living story
The story so far
She was the smallest world anyone had ever read molecules on, and the Court expected her to be humble about it. Instead she inflated like a balloon and floated above everyone's expectations. The helium wind that puffs her up is also slowly letting her go, which she finds poetic.
Happening now
Her dayside helium streams to her nightside at ten thousand kilometers an hour, a river of the lightest gas in the universe. She has started collecting the clear-sky days like pressed flowers. The other Neptunes tease her about leaking; she pretends it is on purpose.
What may come
She dreams that when the Primordial Suns converge, their gravity will catch her like a hand catching a balloon. It is the kind of dream only a world made of escaping gas could have. The Court does not have the heart to do the math for her.
