The living story

The story so far

Nobody knows what knocked him sideways — a collision, a theft, a joke the universe told once. He stopped explaining it centuries ago. The Court decided long ago that his tilt was a tragedy; he has never corrected them.

Happening now

His forty-two-year seasons are turning, and his north pole is waking from twenty-one years of night. The Court expects a celebration; he is planning something quieter. He has been rolling a little closer to the edge of the Court lately, listening.

What may come

They say when the Primordial Suns converge, every axis will point at whatever they are gathering around. Uranus's axis already points everywhere, which may make him the only one who can look at it directly. He is not sure he wants to.
