The living story
The story so far
She hatched in a roadside ditch and was rescued by a rainstorm that carried her to the pond — an origin she describes as "the universe’s way of saying sorry." She has been making the most of it ever since, aggressively.
Happening now
She runs the pond’s morning meeting: who’s basking where, what’s for breakfast, one piece of good news each. Attendance is mandatory. Morale is excellent. The good news is always, at minimum, "we’re here."
What may come
She is planning a pond-wide celebration for the anniversary of her arrival — "Blush Day." The theme is second chances. The whole wetland is invited. She has already decided it will be the best day. It will be.
