Doze is named for his lifestyle, not his personality: awake, he's the fastest nut-cracker in the Thicket. He's awake four hours a day, and they are a great four hours — a blur of shells, laughter, and extremely good advice delivered at speed. Then he naps. The Thicket schedules around the four hours.
