The story so far
She learned to walk on water before she could properly walk on land, and the pond has been her kingdom ever since. Fisher once dove a full body-length down and came up with a tadpole twice her size. The tadpole community still talks about it.
Happening now
She is skating the pond's surface at dusk, reading ripples like headlines. Something is moving below. Fisher is already moving toward it, which is to say: it is already caught.
What may come
The dry season will shrink the pond to a puddle, and Fisher will simply hunt smaller, dive shallower, and complain louder. Adaptation is her love language.
