The story so far
She built her tunnel before she had a name for it, fanning trip-lines in every direction like a queen laying down law. Tubeweb's first catch arrived before the silk had finished drying. She has not been idle since.
Happening now
She is at the mouth of her tunnel, all eight legs on the trip-lines, feeling the night through the silk. Somewhere out there, something is walking. Tubeweb knows its weight, its speed, and its fate.
What may come
The first frost will slow her strike by a fraction, and the Night Silk will hold its breath. Tubeweb will compensate by thinking faster. She always does.
