The story so far
Aurea's twins — born in the spring storms — have not touched the ground since. She carries them everywhere: to Sol's morning shake (never missed), to the fruit elevator, through the rain. They are getting heavy. Her arms do not notice.
Happening now
The troop offers to help. She accepts — briefly, graciously — and takes them back within the hour. 'They like the rhythm,' she says. The rhythm is her heartbeat.

She has begun teaching them the mane-shake early — tiny golden trembles. Sol watches with twirling-free solemnity. The future is golden.
