The story so far
Kuba's colors came in with his maturity — the blue ridges, the red nose — and the troop took it as a coronation the forest performed itself. He has led that way ever since: visibly, calmly, in full color.
Happening now
He has started sitting in on the other silverbacks' councils and saying little, which — from Kuba — counts as a speech.
What may come
The young males watch his colors the way students watch a master. One day the forest will paint one of them. Kuba is in no hurry.
