The story so far
Rufus's face — the uakari's famous red — deepens with every emotion, and Rufus feels them all, vividly, in public. Joy: scarlet. Embarrassment: crimson. Being noticed blushing: a whole new shade the troop calls 'rufus.'

He has stopped fighting it and started announcing it: 'I am blushing now,' he declares, blushing harder. The troop finds this unbearably endearing. He knows. He blushes about that too.
