Her signature behavior: every night she wades into the dark water and dips one star into the sea, holding it by its brightest point the way her mother Thetis once held Achilles by the heel — and she always keeps one paw dry on the shore, a deliberate flaw she calls her luck heel, so fortune can still find her.

The night was long, but it was never permanent.

The living story
Born where the sea-foam met the starfall, Foamstar grew up listening to two lullabies: her mother's tide-songs and her father's star-counting. Where Novakit counted stars to stay drowsy, Foamstar counts waves to stay awake — and where Thetis once made a hero nearly invulnerable by dipping him in dark water, Foamstar dips the stars themselves, learning what each one fears.
Foamstar has just begun her first Great Chart: dipping stars one by one into the shallow sea and marking where each one lands, building the first map of a road from somewhere far away to somewhere she almost remembers.
The keepers say that when Foamstar's chart is finished, the road it draws will lead somewhere no spark has walked before — and she will need a keeper brave enough to walk it with one paw deliberately unguarded.
