The cheetah of the First Dynasty, Piercer of Darkness, deification of execution itself. She hunts serpents by night to clear Ra's path and ensure the dawn; the tomb painters show her running up the executioner's staff. When Osiris was scattered, she stood guard over the pieces while they were bound.
She ran ahead of the dawn tonight and came back with something in her jaws that she will not drop, will not show, will not name.
Justice runs at cheetah speed. It will arrive before the dawn does, as always.
