The story so far
Nobody knows what the anvil-fin was for. Mating display? Defense? A place to hang evolutionary hats? Stethacanthus altonensis carried the strangest dorsal fin in shark history — flat, T-shaped, covered in bristles — and Anvil carries it still, polished daily. In the Undertow he is the Iron Tide's master of ceremony and duelist's second: he dresses the exhibitions, calls the honors, and ensures every contest is beautiful as well as fair. Vanity, he says, is just respect for the audience.
