The living story
The story so far
Two bloodlines, one body: the scaly-foot snail's iron-sulfide armor braided with the hadal amphipod's powerful scudding legs. Ironscud is a knight that sprints — metal-plated, trench-fast, the only armored thing in the dark that doesn't need to stand its ground.
Happening now
It scuds the trench approaches in its gleaming plates, fast and ironclad. The Scaly-Foot Snail inspects the plating with a craftsman's eye; Hirondellea watches the stride with a ruler's respect. The braid answers to both and belongs to neither.
What may come
Armor is heavy; speed is everything. Ironscud's young are testing the balance — lighter plates, longer legs. The trench may soon see the first cavalry charge in its history.
