The story so far
Echidna, daughter of Phorcys and Ceto (or of Tartarus and Gaia, the songs vary), mated with Typhon and produced mythology's greatest hits: the Hydra, Cerberus, the Chimera, the Sphinx, the Nemean Lion. She naps in a cave in Cilicia between maternities.
Happening now
She follows her children's careers the way other mothers follow the harvest. The Hydra's death annoyed her; Cerberus's employment pleases her.
What may come
Heroes keep killing her children, and she keeps having more. The songs call it a cycle; she calls it Tuesday.
